Scholarship Distribution Schedule August 2025-July 2026

Friday, August 1, 2025: Begin Distributing Fall Semester payments for Classes of 2024 (3rd payment) and 2025 (1st payment)

Thursday, January 2, 2025: Begin Distributing Spring Semester Payments for Class of 2024 (2nd payment)

Friday, February, 14, 2025: Valentine e-card and e-gift

Note: Scholars are expected to complete at least 12 credit hours per term and maintain a minimum C average per term, verified through unofficial transcripts sent from their college email.  Otherwise, scholars are given a grace period to improve college success considering their special circumstances. A payment may be deferred a term, based on a solution with supports and encouragement in place. Scholars still qualify to receive $1,500 total, but over four semesters instead of three. If needed, we can personally advise scholars for college and career goals and help seek counselors, mentors, and additional resources.

Community Events

Saturday, July 19th, 2025 12 noon to 5pm: CANA Annual Block Party and Art Fair

CANA (Central Austin Neighborhood Association) is our local community group and TUC is a partner organizer.  All scholars are welcome to meet and greet with free picnic lunch. 

Celebrate the summer with a DJ, drum circle, food, art activities, community resources info tables, petting zoo and pony rides, and info tables. For more info, please go to: cana16.com

Sunday, December 21st 2-4pm: Holiday Social at TUC

Holiday Social for All Scholars and Friends to see how everyone is doing, network, and spread holiday cheer! Bring a guest and drop in any time. Barney's Pizza with holiday treats and warm drinks!

Saturday, February 14th, 2026: Valentine's Day e-cards and e-gifts

Sent to all current class of scholars to show our love for you as a college "care package"!

Sunday, May 17th 11:30am to 1pm: 52nd Annual Scholars Sunday ceremony

Presentation of awards to our 2026 Scholars. Guests and ASAP Alumni are welcome! Reception to follow.
